Twin sisters Marijana & Rosana Sarić are Macedonian singers who made their debut at the Yugoslav finals for the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 ("Molči, molči"). They were quite active as a duo in 1980s, singing at many festivals as well. They participated twice at Jugovizija (1982, 1984 - "Opasna zona"), Opatija 1985 ("Iluzija, fantazija"), all three editions of TV Spot Fest (1985 - "Edno leto" with Spektar and "Koj li e toj" with Urnebes, 1986 - "Malečok" - Second Audience Award, 1987 - "Odluči, Gorane" - Third Audience Award and Third Jury Award). In this period they were also occasional members of the groups Spektar and Urnebes, and they start singing folk songs. Marijana marries Tode Novačevski, who is also a singer and songwriter, who will write most they songs in the future. They won the First Jury Award at Folk Fest Valandovo 1988 with his song "Edno srce imam". They were also regulars at Makfest (1987 - "Stoj" - SOKOJ Award for Best Song, 1988 - "Priznavam" - SOKOJ Award for Best Song and Best Interpretation Award, 1989 - "Ako ne isčeznam" (with Tode) - SOKOJ Award for Best Song). 1991 will mark their last festival appearance together ("Ljubov", joined by young Tamara Todevska), before Marijana and Tode move to Australia. Rosana will continue her career solo and Tode will still write songs for her. In 1992 Rosana will duet Naum Petreski and win the Grand Prix at Interfest 1992 ("Ima edna sudbina"). Follows "Žena" at Makfest 92, "Prosti mi, zemjo majko" (Interfest 1993). She won the Second Audience Award at Makfest 1995 ("Ova utro") and many songs and awards on folk festivals.
